Frosters Gloves Scilabub

Scilabub's 'Frosters ' Gloves have been specially developed for handling ultra-cold objects and for protection against splashes of ultra-cold / cryogenic materials such as Liquid Nitrogen (LN2, LN, or LIN -195.8 °C)

Typically they are used for handling objects stored in the vapour stage of liquid nitrogen (ranging from -120°C to -196°C).

Ideal for laboratories and hospitals as well as for industrial purposes.

These gloves are also very useful for other situations where low temperatures are an issue such as with LNG (-162°C), in storage freezers, cold rooms, the handling of 'dry ice' and microtomes.  They were used as PPE in the development of the AstraZeneca vaccine and for the handling of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine in the fight against Covid - see our 'In Action' page for more information.

The 'frosters' range is available in four styles;  

Wrist (30cm), Mid-arm (37cm), Elbow (50cm) and Extended Shoulder, 60cm) length and in small, medium, large and extra large sizes.

Category III PPE.

Manufactured to European standard EN511 & EN388. UKCA & CE certified.

The gloves should not be immersed in liquid nitrogen or in any other cryogenic liquid.
